The Papase Eco Nursery is home to some 5million plantain seedlings nursed to be sent to farms to plant along side cocoa seedlings. The nursery is situated on a 60acre stretch of farmland expandable to some 150acres. The growing substrate is 80% palm kernel fibre. By using Palm Kernel fibre, the nursery is able to reuse the fibre which is a bi product of an oil milling factory close by. The entire nursery is erected on bamboos that are carefully treated thus making them eco friendly. All waste marietials on the nursery are designed to go through a compost head and reused to nourish the young budding seedlings.
